Depends on your stats, really. But since it is a DEX weapon I would recommend sharp infusion and leveling up DEX. It depends on your stats. If you have high Dex you should infuse it with a sharp gem, if you have high strength maybe you should be looking to use a different weapon as it wouldn't scale very well with strength. The uchigatana is still a perfectly good weapon though, and you'll probably not find anything strictly 'better'. No reason to switch weapons, unless you're just getting bored of katanas in general.
