Feb 17, 2017 · Kodiak 400 carb adjustment screw. Rebuilt the carb on my 2004 Kodiak. Put it back on the wheeler and started it up. I need to tune both the idle RPMs which is easy using the adjustment screw that impinges on the throttle on the side of the carb and adjust the mixing screw on the front of the carb. I'm leaving on a trip this afternoon. The Pilot jet only controls the air/fuel mixture at idle and low, off idle, throttle openings. The screw adjustment (explained in the video) is used to fine tune this adjustment at idle speed only. It has very little or no effect on off idle and larger throttle openings.
