Browning A5 20ga Stock problem. Hi folks, I have a problem that has developed on my A5 stock. The hole in the stock that secures the stock to the receiver has become elongated causing the stock to slip away for the receiver leaving a gap of 1/16" or so. My thought is to drill out the elongated hole and insert a sleeve of aluminum or stainless ...Then jam city. Shells wouldn’t load easily using speed load and after I emptied it I stopped using it due to the difficulties getting it to load. Once home I tried to release the bolt while taking it apart and the carrier release button wouldn’t budge. Broke out the screwdrivers and took it apart from the bottom.

After filling the magazine with 2 3/4" or 3" and even 3 1/2" when the shell release button is pressed often times the shell will not enter the chamber. It's not a cleaning problem. It's been taken apart many times. The shell release lever does not pass by the incoming shell.Set the single ring down by your reciever on the mag tube. keep the wide one with the bronze bushing up by your mag tube cap.
