Leaving for vacation in 2 days. I just replaced the fpr on my 2013 duramax LML with a kyntex upgraded regulator (better screen). Install went smooth. Went to start the truck up and crank no start. I then bled the air out at the filter housing. No start. Then bled the Schrader valve. Some air came out. Still no luck. No visible or audible air leaks.6.6L Duramax LML Fuel Return Testing. Mine was loosing prime and would either stall or not start. I did 2 things to fix the problem. I rebuilt the primer on the fuel filter housing and replace the bleed screw on the filter housing. When it goes into reduced engine, the ECM turns off the injector on the cylinder that is knocking, and it goes away. Guessing you can figure out which cylinder it is by turning off injectors with a scan tool.

Pull each injector return line one at a time and crank. If there is more then just a small spit coming from an injector, its returning too much. Usually when an injector is bad it will be a steady stream of fuel coming from the top of the injector fuel return. the truck was deleted l about a year ago the problem started when the change fuel filter light came on i replaced the filter head base and a water in fuel sensor and now it wont start i bleed the system many times i can reset the change filter ..notification ,,and if i drive it hard it will come back on i added a ppe performance electric fuel pump still no start and i also replaced fuel ...also, try and stay away from either. if you get desperate, use a small amount of gasoline, WD40 or something similar. much safer. bad CP3 can definitely leak fuel in to the return. pull the return on the CP3 and verify how much comes out when cranking. if it is too much it can rob the pumps ability to make pressure. Ended up being a lgh, out of a cab chassis 2013, everything matched up other then one egr plug.
