Oct 2022. Our group of 5 enjoyed this 75-90 minute narrow gauge train excursion behind a 1912 Shay steam gear-driven locomotive (meaningful for train buffs). This type of locomotive was used for steep and heavy loads, usually logging or mining. This location was established to save massive redwoods from logging.
