Chevy silverado radio volume not working.

Has anyone had any issues with the volume knob not working on their radio? Spinning the knob would have the audio level bar show up on the screen but it didn't adjust. The steering wheel controls would adjust the level though. So idk what the deal was. I bought a 05 Sierra SLE with the factory non Bose single disk radio. None of the buttons on the front of the radio will work at all.
