Nov 15, 2019 · I have an old 2 stroke polaris xplorer 300 that i can't get running right. It used to run great a few weeks ago. Then the starter went bad, so it sat for a week until i got the new starter in. I had to remove the beltcase and also the flywheel on the other side of the motor, so that I could get the new starter motor and gear in. Pull the plug and see what it looks like now. If it's saturated with oil, you're going to cause more harm than running it like it's meant to be ran. I personally wouldn't even try to mess with it, but if you feel like rebuilding the motor every couple weeks, go ahead and do it.21 Nov 2022 ... I also bench tested the oil pump and it worked fine. After reassembly I filled it with premix and it started and ran fine.1. Put the bearings in the freezer.
