I have never owned a lawn tractor since my yards were small and i just used a self propelled mower. My concern/issue is with either starting in a gear like 4-6 or shifting... I dropped the deck, and everything underneath looks good. Nothing was rusted, bent or significantly worn, including the plate that swings to move the arms for the blade brakes.
