Cura has had tree support for a few years now. Meanwhile, Thomas Rahm has been working on an improvement of tree support that pretty much re-writes the way it works. He made a pull request for Cura that implemented that. Those algorithms have been converted by Prusa to work with Prusa slicer and they renamed it "Organic" support. I used organic supports for the first time this weekend on a simple cylinder where both ends taper down to a spindle (spool holder for drybox). The cylinder was up on one end, so I used organic supports to support it. Print went fine, but man those things were hard to get off!
